Lets throw away the key

by SashaMirage   Jul 8, 2008

Candy and roses are easily given things,
But what happens when love is not as it seems?
Take it or leave it; love's always there
Is that of your thoughts after saying I care?

You swear endless affections, heard before
And now I'm afraid to hear these words more
Emotions are deceiving; what should I do?
Maybe just walk away saying we're through?

But I can't do it so perhaps I'll stay
Waiting for you to break my heart another day
Obviously I love you; it glows on my face
Your name is permanently written; never to erase

Friends say I'm running to you way too fast
And time will only prove that it will last
Wishing to be convinced but not feeling sure
It's like holding a single key to a locked door

You open it up to discover what's hidden inside
Many secrets make it hard for love to survive
So how about if we throw away the obsolete key?
Forget about the past so our love can be free

That's when I'll see that you'll always be there
Without melancholy heartaches, lies, or despair

    Another wonderful poem
i can relate to it some how
    i loved this one alot:
"Its obvious I love you; It glows on my face.
If I fall to hard will you ever change?"
but the best part is the last:
"Love cane be tricky; like holding a key to a locked door.
You open it up to see whats inside.
Sometimes theres to many secrets for love to survive .
So how about if we throw away the key?
Forget about the past so our love can be free.
Thats when I'll see that you'll always be there.
With out any heartaches, lies, or despair"
you did a very good job in your poem, it's obvious it was from your heart
