A Gentle Dream of Endless Sleep

Come forth your solid anger and
Release from your body
As you line the sight up
Aim one right at me.
The trigger hard to pull seems easy enough
Bullets full of regret and
The pain you kept in all these years

A gentle noise of fire cracking
In the night sky, No one is napping
The colors illuminate the evening
Couples holding onto golden feelings
As he was still keeping hold of me.

The bullets cry blended in
With the sound of Independance coming to an end
But no one saw it coming right at me.
Gripping his hand I felt it happening
A wounded shoulder kept tapping
In my head and sending burst of fear.

Crimson blood came seeping
Through my shirt, how could I be bleeding
Turning around to find a farmilar face.
The ground grew closer as I knelt
Him beside me I soon felt
My heart begin to give and fail from pain.

Tears do seep from lovers eyes
As I too, begin to cry.
I guess you ran off and got away
Before anyone could look your way.
What a coward you seem to be
Leaving my here with skinned up knees
I begin to lean close to him
Believing this is truely the end.

Wrapped up in his arms so tight
The last thing I may see tonight
Was the tears falling from his gentle face.
Friends call out to find no answer
No one about paying any attention
To the events taking place before their eyes.

As I slowly close my eyes

To cleanse this forsaken place
