Wasted years

Wasted way too many years
drinking way too many beers
trying to just disappear
from all the things I fear
my life I betrayed
by the games I played
need to take some time
to get the life that was mine
reflecting on what I have become
changing what I have done
try to get past what tears away
inside me each and every day
realize everything that I got
it might not be a lot
but somehow it will be enough
to get me through the tough
help me realize what I have lost
and tear away the line I crossed
to begin living a better life
