Paper and Pen

by Alyssa   Jul 13, 2008

Paper and Pen
is what saves her every time
Turning her feelings
Into a rhyme

Written with tears
The lines fill with pain
The little girl's hopes
Never remain

The ink sometimes mixes with blood
As it drips down her wrists
The words on the paper
Now have a little twist

But this is her outlet
The thing that keeps her alive
Take it away
She'll never survive

When the pen has finished its job
Her bloody wrist wipes away the tears
Tonight shes still breathing
Because the paper and pen saved her from her fears
