Rubber Bands

by gasping for air   Jun 2, 2004

Friends are like rubber bands.
They stretch and bend,
In so many ways.
They give and take,
But eventually if you take too much,
They snap in two.

If you're careful,
And don't abuse them,
They'll stay forever more.
Lasting time and time again,
Wrapping around you with strength.

They'll stay forever more.
Just like rubber bands.
Strong, but weak.
