That's not my name
When you call me Connie
I go insane

It's like I've been dissed
Thoroughly dismissed
Do it to me one more time
And I'll be so damned pissed

I'll answer to "Coreen"
Thought it's really "Cur-IN"
When you call me that other name
I go into a tailspin

Don't call me Connie
I hate that appellation
When you call me Connie
I take out my frustration

And call you all kinds of names
Children should never ever hear
Don;t call me Connie
Okay - have I been clear?!!!

Can't you read?

I've been plagued my whole life
By that name I despise

I'm not the only one
Who suffers from this curse
It's my mother's name too
And she reacts even worse!

    Lmao. Thank you for writing such a funny though serious look at your name. I know how you feel and have been called many things other than my name. How hard is K, it's the 11th letter of the alphabet. Not katie, kelly or kate. Thanks again dear, and love the humor in this.
