City Lights

by Enya   Jul 18, 2008

I dropped my heart from up above,
it fell from my hands without a sound,
good riddance i say, it's of no use to me now,
my heart it fell without a sound.

My heart was old, my heart was broken,
damaged from years of words unspoken,
no one noticed, and no one cared,
i dropped my heart from way up there

I dropped myself into the dark,
traffic lights like neon stars,
the city street viewed from afar,
i dropped myself into the dark.

Can't be late for my date with the pavement,
i booked the hotel, i'm staying the night
what a beautiful sight, what a beautiful sight,
i race to wards the city lights.
