Wisdom Past

by Jenn   Jul 19, 2008

I remember when the Earth was young,
And our air was always sweet.
The mountains could always reach the sky,
Now somewhere in the far beyond,
That's where humans and nature live side by side.

Our lives are filled with Danger and beauty
One giant family, forgetting about love.
Our hearts no longer see the joy
So I'm sending my plea for guidance
Into the skies above.

Everyone who lived before
Reach out and take our hands.
Remind our breaking hearts
Of what we used to know.
Open up our tightly shut eyes
And let us see we're all the same.

We used to hold a wisdom
A strength to reach our dreams.
Now we're in a world that's not what it seems,
Every corner that we turn
Brings us to another dead end;
A Journey that cannot begin again.

Everyone who lived before,
Reach our and take our hands
Remind our breaking hearts
Of what we used to know.
Open up our tightly shut eyes,
And let us see we're all the same.

Because the way to finally understand,
Is to see the world from different sides.
So take this time and open your eyes,
Let's stand together, side by side.
And Share the wisdom we all once had.
