A Deathly Lie

by Tangible heartache   Jul 19, 2008

She begins to cry; her mascara running,
Washing away the fake beauty; oh how it made her look stunning.
Black drops of deep red blood drip from her wrists,
She wants to die today; there is no reason for her to exist.

She cuts to take away the pain;
Covers them with bracelets to hide from shame.
Silent cries for help escapes her lips,
As her sharp blade grazes her skin, it slips.

She hides her discomfort in a sweet mask,
To hide the pain from the world is her only task.
She cries herself to sleep at night,
She keeps the tears from everyone's sight.

She hungers for someone to see her big lie;
She needs someone to help her, for someone to try.
She is waiting for someone to see,
Hear her cries for help, here her pleas.

She has finally cut to deep,
Tonight she doesn't need to cry to sleep.
She bids her final words, she bids good-bye,
For today she finally died.
