Lighthouse

by iM LYiNG tO MY SELf   Jul 20, 2008

The vibration seemed to last as if forever
My heart shook lose a ghostly fevered tear
Waiting for just one more glimpse of laughter
Of that summer day you left me dear.

I see it through the port hole in the distance
Taste it's sweet simplicity drawing near
Hoping that this time will be forever
Knowing that it is you I come to fear.

Insanity has trapped me in my yearning
Begging for a gift from God to snare
That this my sorrow surface to the distance
Losing all the love was all so clear.

I see the lighthouse glowing in the distance
(Reminding me that you are always near
God -its not enough you must forgive me
My soul in blankets wrapped in waves of terror

My pain for you has echoed through the mountains
Memories take with me all the years
I spent with you my precious darling hear me
Don't leave me once again I'll drown in tears

I see you in the future in St. Martins
Looking back without so much care
I see her smiling within your cool reflection
But does she see the soul that brought you here?
