Better Be Solitary

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Jul 23, 2008

There was once this girl..Who stood in corners.
Never wanted to reveal herself to a soul.
No family..No close friends..All foreigners.
In her mind, she'd better solitary than a fool.

In the old days, her heart was open and her trust free.
They laughed at her face,, And teased her behind her back.
A life full of mockery.
And now.. Out of Track.

Eyes red flashing with anger.
Trembling in a world of fears.
Weakness controls her no longer.
Her Laughs were mixed with tears.

Desperate for a safe world..But hopeless too.
She knows no soul can be trusted nowadays.
Living in a world of tries..No meanings are true.
She left the common world..And followed her own ways.

People saw a bright sky when she saw it was dark.
They saw the rainbow while she predicted a storm.
Awaiting her was a new journey to embark.
A journey to another world..Where happiness is a norm.

Before she cared.
Now her heart is in her head.
She didn't see what was coming..She wasn't prepared.
But now she's standing up to her ignorance that hit her and fled.

No more days spent laughing with a cry.
No more days minding the past.
No longer fooled by truths based on a lie.
No prolonging pain.. Just the desire to heal fast.

Peace of mind is an aspiration.
One that cannot be found betwixt earthly pleasures.
Nothing can be worth the peace within.
Not even all the world's treasures.

Lonely to this day.
Her heart and trust to herself.
She'll never reveal herself to a soul.
In her mind,, She'd better be solitary than a fool.
