Your Scent

by BornAgainWriter   Jul 24, 2008

Laying on your side of the bed tonight,
Smelling you're pillows soft scent,
Because you're late coming home tonight,
Texting friends to avoid the need to vent.

Your scent is driving me literally insane,
I close my eyes and dream you were here,
Laying next to me I just can't complain,
Longing for you to be close and near.

Baby your scent is so pure and blissful,
I hope it never fades away-lasts forever,
Because I feel so calm but need-full
Of your presence; Just more clearer.

My mind is confused; a little and rambling,
Trying to find words for when you get home,
My heart is screaming loud and fastly beating,
I can't take this anymore; don't want to be alone.

The front door crackles as you open it,
I quickly awaken from my deep sleep,
I missed you so much I admit,
As I run full force fast and steep.

I'm so glad that you made it home,
I can hold you in my arms baby,
As my hands tremble and roam,
While you're telling me I'm your lady.
