Nowhere Left To Run

by Alex Sparrow   Jul 25, 2008

Thrown down in the dust
Buried beneath is all my trust
When the best part of believe is the lie
There is no reason to even try

Premeditate all the pain you cause
Too reckless to care about the loss
Too stubborn, lessons never learned
So why put your hand in the fire if you know it is going to burn?

Keep living life in your regret
A vacant life that you cannot forget
Never thinking before you speak
Taking advantage of those who you think are weak

Break me down, as long as you kill my memories
because here inside this shell I cannot be set free
Smiles turn back into frowns
and I am scared that I will soon drown

Does it feel good to know that you have become so numb
and that there is nowhere left to run
Thrown down into the dust
All the lies are bound to rust
