Eternity...

by Baine Willows   Jul 27, 2008

We all take a hand, take a fall, learn to stand.
We all laugh, we all cry, someday all of us must die.
We take our chances, play our cards.
Stop and pray that we aren't wrong.
We walk this earth with shackles and wings.
Chained by society, free by mind's swing.
The world is a painting, images worthy to see.
Our eyes are the mirrors, reflecting lies of humanity.
We take slow steps, losing ourselves to the masses.
We hide from ourselves, and each face as it passes.
Learning to sprint, try to outrun our demons.
Try not to trip, stumble into old heathens.
We all take a hand, take a fall, learn to stand.
We fight to be left alone, while crying for attention.
We cry for ourselves, for our mind's apprehension
We listen to silence, sing to gunfire.
We beat our drums, assassins for hire.
The rhythms are different, the melodies the same.
The question is how we choose to end our game.
We all take a hand, take a fall, learn to stand.

Where do you turn when you've gone from this land?
