The Camargue

by Vivica   Jul 28, 2008

Amongst the salty marshes of Ales
Bold hooves strike the earth
As they seize the ground beneath them
Swallowing distance with every stride
With rippled flesh and luminous coats
They lope as one, a rhythmic blur
Iridescent glow, fading beyond the ocean waves
Wild white horses, caressed by the setting sun
Tranquil spirits, untouched by man
Free to roam, to conquer the grassy plains
Wistful wonders, forever untamed.
