Sunny Day

Dark clouds have lingered here for far too long
I am ready for a sunny day

The tides have been too high lately
It is finally time for them to wash away

The wind blows at unbelievable speeds
but now that I have found peace
it is time for them to slow down

The cold weather has made the flowers hide
and it is time for them to rise from beneath the ground

I have been down and depressed for far too long
So it is time that I feel OK
I will wear a smile
because I feel better these days

Storm clouds have filled the sky
but I am glad to tell them goodbye
I am ready for a sunny day
and I hope this time it will stay

Oh I have been waiting for a sunny day
and I hope it is here to stay
