Noble Brook 7-29-08

by Phil Laws   Jul 29, 2008

I found a noble brook
In this land of desolation
That often gave more than it took
Still as it took to restoration
On ground, tireless and right
Scenic route, it's destination
Moving rocks with such subtle might
And feeding life with sustentation
Struck by it's endurance
Jumping in becomes ambition
Even as it's undercurrents
Invoke patience and admonition
To aspire and admire
Even it's association
Subduing such destructive fires
With defusal and mediation
