are you our man?
Will you be what you seem
when the truth hits the fan?

Or, will you make excuses
to cover your touch
blaming it all
on poor Georgie Bush?

Yes! George Bush
has messed up for sure.
But are you the answer
for America's cure?

Will you bring our troops home
where they aught to be?
Can you maintain peace,
freedom, and liberty?

What we hear now
is your convincing talk.
If you become president
will you walk the walk?

Can you bring the cost of living
to a reasonable level?
Or, will you jam it to us
like a lying devil?

What about groceries
and the price of gas?
What will you do for the income
of the middle class?

I hope you're the man
for this land of the free.
Because if you're not
in a lot of doo doo we are about to be.
