Writers Block (collab poem with lexie)

by Dustin S   Aug 1, 2008

*We wrote this poem when Lexie here had writers block. Little collab about Writers block. I'm first, then lexie*

Thoughts lay in my head,
I cant write down a single one.
Not remembering what I said,
Just to realize this aint fun.

Getting the urge to write,
But nothing is coming to mind.
Stay up thinking all night,
It's like the poetic mind went blind.

Feels like it can be good,
But words are caught,
I'd write if only I could.
The only word i got, i bought.

So thats my mind, I spoke.
Let me give lexie the mike.
She needs to have her block broke.
So here lexie, make the fans like.
------------------------------------

So clearly the words I want,
To come and let me out.
They dance and dazzle, as to haunt,
Missing the words, I'm in a drought.

Hungrily, I stare and pray,
Something I need to hear now,
Teasing me unfairly, they play.
My writers block hasn't left thou.

Time to defeat this mighty block,
Prevailing in my hard battle,
Processing the winner's shock,
I won't let anyone tell or tattle.

A pencil put to the paper,
I feel the best now than ever.
I become a word shaper.
And all I did was pull the lever.
