Flames Licking My Cold Heart

Pain that burns inside so raw
Scorching like raining fire,
Embers that grow and consume
Destroying every desire.

Eating away like disease
Feeding on my soul,
Occupying every space
Until it devours me whole.

Shadows replace the sun
Making daylight obscure,
Nights without mornings
Perpetual hell endured.

Like icy crashing waves
Upon my marbled heart,
A stormy frothy sea
That tears my world apart.

This pain that renders me
Incapable of breathing,
Left trembling and weak
No more strength for living.

A wildfire of pain
I surrender myself to thee,
No sanity in life
I let agony consume me.
