In The Swirling Passion

by NightFlyer   Aug 3, 2008

In the Valium stillness
Echoing in the skull caverns of narcotic dreams
I sit here, in stained glass fragments of tiffany night music
Swirling around Winter's solstice of spinning stars
Here rests the laughing of ghosts of centuries.

I see you in the perennial season of my Summer love
Past Zephyr wind cracked cement walls of java wisdom
I laugh, alive in the paisley walls of night's chambers
Calling out in wildness,
Sweet angel, in the evening's embrace
Your smile in the plains of the Moon.

I call out to the dream that can never be encompassed
In the emerald glow of late night city streetlights
My song is a song that never ends
In the ancient winds that blow across the maniac sea
This ocean
This moonlight sky
This song that's crying for love
In the swirling passion of evening's madness.

Thank you again. Melissa, for your very kind words. I wrote this one in 1992. Have a lot of older poems, but I want to start writing new ones.
