Rhythm

Chest Heaving.
Heavy Breathing.

Suns Setting.
Lungs Fretting.

Someone Harken.
Sky's Darken.

As I chase...
Nothing.

My blood pounds inside my skull.
Legs feel numb and senses dull.

Feet Slap pavement loud.
I'm beating the shadow croud.

As I reach for...
Nothing.

I reach my driveway once again.
Turn around to never win.

I take another lap around the block.
Street lights buzz and I race the clock.

As I run From...
Nothing.

Sweat Gushes From Every Pore.
Still I race just for More.

Red faced and still I run.
Trying to forget everyone.

Shoelaces come untied.
I've got cramps on both sides.

As I beat...
Nothing.

Its something I do everyday.
Try to catch/beat/outrun/reach
something that doesn't matter anyways.

But everyday at six
I grab my kicks

I run out the door
Until I can't run anymore.

1 mile
2 miles
3 miles
Four.

Run And Run until I can't move anymore.

Maybe oneday I'll catch my dreams.
Or come undone at the seams.

Maybe oneday I'll beat my foes.
Or fall from the high point to reach the lows.

Maybe oneday I'll outrun my fears.
or collaspe in sweat and tears.

Maybe oneday I'll reach that mark.
But not today Its gotten dark.

See with this, the reason why I like it so much is that it's trying to reach out or tell someone something in a way ppl can understand. PLus even though it's about running just the emotions can be so related with other things exactly.
