With out you the world is mud

by Sweetdream   Aug 8, 2008

Like my world has been laid in a fog,
I'm lost in a daze now that you're gone,
Not that I'm lost as in I can't find my way,
More like a fish is lost when out of a lake,
My heart is suspended tight in my chest,
I'm a little dizzy and slightly out of breath,
Without you I see an empty sky that is gray,
Not the glorious skies both you and I enjoy,
The dark skies as if in response to my request,
Opens up and pours out the misery I can't express,
Drowning the world in a flood of pain and despair,
Life is just a bubbling pit of mud without you here,
I yearn to be in your arms and feel the sun shine,
Warmth fills me when I'm with the love I call mine,
I stand alone in filth and grime awaiting your return,
Till I'm in your arms and you dry the mud of the world.
