Still life

by jasmine   Aug 11, 2008

So much of life
We seek to give,
So much of love
We yearn to receive
So much of sadness
We feel to gain
So much of pain
We have yet to feel
As we tread forward
On a lonely path
Shrouded with trees
The shade of darkest Grey
Its leaves scattered in my way
The dull crunch echoes
Somewhere above a shrill cry reverberates
In this still silence
We call life
