Character

by Scrittore   Aug 13, 2008

Too few are honest smiles in life
Why must we conceal the truth?
Then hide behind a gesture
As if we have need to prove,

Our taste for a greater value
The need for greater love.
Dishonesty speaks not of character
Only what we choose to put above

Our own humanity and morale.
Why should one ever care?
The impact of your soul on another's
Your happiness is their dispair.
