Phantom

by A Phoenyx in Flight   Aug 16, 2008

The little kitten runs and hides.
Under the coffee table.
He is only a month old.
And he is a stray.

Then one day some lady takes him.
She feeds him and gives him water.
He purrs and purrs like there is no tomorrow.
He is SO happy.

Then he is shoved into a cage.
And taken away from the nice lady.
He rides along in a big scary truck.
falling asleep along the way.

He is suddenly awakened to see girl.
She is staring at him through the cage.
She smiles at him and takes him out.
He is at his new home.

The girl brings him to her room,
There she and her three friends think of what to call him
Dice? Penguin? skizz? what will be his name.
PHANTOM! that will be his name.

Phantom walks around his new home.
Loving the small space under the coffee table.
The girls pick him up and pet him.
He falls asleep in all their arms purring the whole time.

Night falls and one girl leaves.
Three remain and play with him some more.
He falls asleep with one of them.
Then falls asleep with another.

Morning comes and he is still here.
But one of the girls flings him.
She was alseep and didn't mean to.
He doesn't mind.

His master picks him up and pets him.
He purrs because he loves her.
He hope that he
never ever has to leave.

(this is what happened when i got my kitten for my birthday. But in his point of view.)

Interesting. written from an animalistic veiw, poems always tend to lengthen and become wild, but this is quite tame. well versed and well written
