2 Million Miles

by Prince Jared   Aug 23, 2008

You pass me by on the street every day
Every time you look at me I hide my pain
I try to smile back but my tears still fall inside
The feelings I have almost make me want to hide

You pass me by in the store every week
Looking so hard for something you'll never seek
If you only knew what exactly is in my mind
I promise you that you'd never think twice

You pass me by in the park every other month
Peacefully so hypocritical you never lose a hunch
It's only a matter of time before you leave
Before you go, is there anything that you need?

You used to see me every once in a while
But now, you've moved away over 2 million miles
So maybe I wasn't really the brightest light bulb
And you blame me for nothing I've done at all

You used to pass me by on the street
You used to pass me by every single week
But now, you're gone; I might as well say goodbye
You know, I really liked you before you died
