A Widows Prayer

Dear God,

Another day has come and gone
Being myself without my John
I try my best to stay calm and strong
He wouldn't want me this way, my life has to go on.
He`s always there holding my hand
Our holiday we missed - no sea or sand
He knows I love him, always and forever
Nothing can change this, no matter what, never.
For now I keep the memories close
Everyone knows I miss him the most.
He was my husband, my soul mate and my best friend
But I know one day in heaven, we will meet again.

Until that day, I know I have an angel watching over me.
