Sister of Lions

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Aug 24, 2008

She taught me to stand up.
And put my faith in God.
Be ready to face death.
And trust no one but God.

She taught me this world is hard.
And that I should take care of me.
She is and will always be my mentor.
I am but a seed of her wise tree

She took care of me since day one
Raised me up in honor and grace
She can see through my eyes
The hardships that I face.

The touch of her hand
Reminds me of childhood days.
The sound of her soothing lullabies.
The jokes, the laughs and plays

Raised me up to be my own master
Yet..to always maintain propriety
"Discipline, Discipline, my child" she said
"Don't get fooled by this society"

She is the sister of lions
Who fears no one at all
"Sit up straight, my child" she said.
"Don't you dare slouch and always walk tall"

She is to me, Alpha and Omega
This, woman of strength and force
The beginning of a sea of wisdom
Hidden in an untraceable source

She possesses the soul of a warrior
Yet, the kindest heart as well.
She is the kind of woman
Who'd trap a wizard in his own spell

I am proud of myself
To have been raised by her
Without her, I'm lost
Life becomes a blur

She is my alpha and omega.
The generous cloud that pours down the rains
The reason I am proud
Is that her blood runs in my veins.
