Retribution

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Aug 24, 2008

As the sky pours rain
And thunders roar.
He curls up in the corner.
As his father slams the door.

Few hours later, his father drinking hard.
In the messy living room.
The boy sweating and moaning.
Cleaning the house with a broom.

Father screams "Come here you Jerk!"
"Will you plead insanity? "
The trial is in a month.
Father screams profanity.

He kicks the boy in the abs and face.
Threatening to kill him if he does not lie.
"I'll slit your throat if you say i did it!"
As the boy begs and cries.

The father kicks harder.
The boy screams more.
Neighbors heard and acted.
Fifteen minutes cops on the door.

The boy's in operation.
While his demented father in the prison cell.
Guard officer approaches the father.
He says "Your son is not well".

Few days pass, and the boy recuperates.
Stitched face and broken tooth.
The boy determined to go to trial.
To say nothing but the truth.

Trial ended and all is fine.
Father jailed for years and the boy is now a man.
Until came the time for the father's release.
Father has a plan.

Father manages to locate his son.
And dares to ask him " Boy, Where you been?"
"No visits, no calls, no nothing"
"Boy, not asking about your dad is a sin".

Son replies, " Here's some money, get out of my life".
Father gets angry and wants to strike.
Son stands tall with an undaunted face.
Finally says to his father,"Old man, get out of this place".
