A Dream

I gave you a ride home
It was just us, alone
I could barely keep my eyes away
I'd been staring at your beauty most of the day
Your smile enchants me
And sparks of love I see
I pull up to your house
And for a moment I'm quiet as a mouse
I hate seeing you go
My feelings for you, I wish you'd know
Then instantly we lock eyes
And before I know it, I'm high in the skies
Your lips so unbelievably soft and sweet
I swear if we weren't sitting, you'd sweep me off my feet
You pull back and give me that award winning smile
And at once I know, the wait was worth the while
Just as I begin to pour out my heart
I wake from this beautiful dream with a start

I roll over and try to sleep but instead I cry
