Since he left

by TheWorldFellNUWerentThere   Aug 31, 2008

Time and time again I'll think of
how the world ended and
I tried so hard to stand through it all
Breaking down more then I ever did before.

He stood in the doorway, arms crossed
his eyes weren't the same anymore
his voice was colder then before
he isn't the same anymore.

He spoke, I'm sorry
but I'm leaving
I got a plane to Kentucky
I can't live like this anymore.

He said his bags were packed
and a taxi was waiting for him on the corner
a new girl was waiting for him in Kentucky
waiting to be his new world.

Oh, how I wish I could tell her
that he'll tell her that she's his world
and how much he loves her to death
and when she gets attached he'll leave again.

I spent a few years after he left
to find myself, truly physically, emotionally and mentally
and he isn't worth it
because since that day he left for that girl, he left her too.
