Leonidas

by HollywoodSmile   Sep 2, 2008

Looking into eyes like bright stars
remembering an unconditional love
as limitless as the sky
void of sin and shame

holding a body, small like budding flowers
hearing quick heartbeats pounding so fast
knowing he sees like i do
yet with innocence and purity

hoping he will be happy
but never half as sad

(for all the children who remind me of what real beauty is. For Leonidas and Rubix. I wish there were a world good enough for you to grow up in, but this is all i have.)
