Out of Sight (a letter to life)

Existence that surrounds me
Seems to fall into decay
I can't explain the notion
Just gets worse now every day

You ask me 'tell me why,
Tell me why you feel this way
It's not like you to not be perfect
You're not yourself today'

So what is it you want from me?
You want me to act ok?
Then fine, your wish is granted
That's not a game that I don't play

So let's all watch as I do great
And let's all watch me do it all
But if you watch just close enough
You'll watch the tears that nearly fall

So tell me that I'm perfect
And tell me I won't fail
But while you tell me all those things
Away from you I'll sail

So keep me on a leash
And keep it nice and tight
'Cause if you don't watch closely
I'll fly straight out of sight

    Good write.

    It amazes me that "normal" people cannot understand the feelings of depression. Everyone wants you to "act normal" and suddently everything goes away.

    If only people could understand what we go through. Even on the best days, i still feel the urge to cry, cut, punch or yell.

    I really liked the "keep me on a leash" part.
