Bless the Clouded Skies

by Armada the Gestalt   Sep 7, 2008

Take me to a place where the fires never cease to burn,
Take me to a place where the world will never turn,
Take me to a place where the sky is set in shades of grey,
Take me to a place where I can fade away.

I long to see the crimson moon that never has to set again,
I long to rest where all that visits me is rain,
Just for once I'd like to get away from everything and run,
Without my thoughts there to remind me what I've done.

Take me to a place where I can be alone,
Take me to a place that I can call my own,
Take me to a place where I need not hesitate,
To let go of my fear and start to set things straight.

Like bones that break and fracture until they pierce through the skin,
What causes all the damage almost always broods within,
Like cancer or an illness that slowly eats up life,
It's that cage that's called a body that's the birth of all this strife.

So take me to the place where all that visits me is rain,
Where nobody else waits there to tell me I'm in pain,
So show me where I came from, where I can belong,
Take me to the place that I've been waiting for so long.
