Chance

by trippetta TC   Sep 8, 2008

Found a better route along this,
The worst way
Slim moments of thick bliss,
Paved in gold the road of good intentions, wearing silver sandals,
Short moments of acquaintance because I can't;
We all know we shouldn't linger to long
In search of sweeter sugar, greener grass,
The sweetest song
Is the melody of what may come to pass
As we cry laugh or sadly mope,
to the beat of the movements in tune with life
rhythm abound, dance
To the tune of those lost in the dark streets and travel
to the movement of hope
No matter the cost (no matter for with any journey we all must somehow pay)
Praying looking deeply (in shallow waters)
For yet another chance

*I named my son after this poem, whom I was pregnant w/ some four years after writing it (w/o really realizing I had until reading back through some of my old poems recently)
