Never to far

by Tangible heartache   Sep 8, 2008

Walking along the ocean, the sand squishing between her toes,
The air whooshing around her, bringing a sweet fragrance to her nose,
The sky crying cold tears fall down and mix with the golden sand,
Off in the distance, lightening strikes and burns away gods land,

Walking along, arms wrapped around her tiny frame,
Remembering him, her heart alights inflame,
Her cheeks become pink, and her breath comes fast,
This feeling, she knows isn't going to last,

Sighing, she remembers just like them all,
Just like always, her heart began to fall,
Tears clouding up her vision, falling down,
Her smile drifted away, she began to frown,

The promises and lies pushed to the front of her head,
She began to remember every conversation, ever note read,
Her tiny figure, now racking with sobs; she falls to her knees,
She began to pray, and chanted "Why me, god, why please?"

His pretty face, pictured in her mind,
She opens her eyes, and looks to find,
An angel standing before her, right there,
For once, maybe god did actually care,

But in a blink of an eye,
She figures is was all a lie,
No longer does he stand,
On what is said gods land,

Confused and baffled, her mind begins to shift,
What she doesn't know, she is god's gift,
Just think and remember who you are,
Follow what you believe, there never too far.
