Lost to the Earth I Roam

by Helena Jaster   Sep 9, 2008

I deny the call of faith and prayer,
Walking by myself along this lonely path
Devoid and deprived of all life.
All excluding myself head to the promise land
As I wait behind for the good news
That will promptly be placed before me
At the hands of the men of faith.

I find no solace in the prayers to a being I cannot see
And no longer can feel,
My connection stripped away by my own hands.
A man of fear driven to become a man of love.
But without faith or hope
The unsettling outrage of my life choices
Remains mine to bear on my own.
