Rain.

Mascara running down her face,
she feels empty and alone
she tries so hard to stop the tears
her emotions turn to stone

she feels like everything's unfair
she just cant catch a break
everything she thought was real
is slowly becoming fake

the happy girl you always see
is breaking down tonight
she cries into her pillow
wishing for things to be alright

but she knows her wishes wont come true
and tomorrow will bring more tears
she'll cry and cry until she sleeps
like she has for seventeen years

she hopes and hopes for better days
and that everything will be fine
that all her sorrows and her pain
will begin to fade with time

but this girl she is no fool
she knows there's no end to the pain
so every time she has to cry
she'll just walk in the rain.
