Yesterdays (Song)

by Corinne   Sep 10, 2008

Yesterdays

There's a purpose in the answer
Falling into now
Climbing out from all your yesterdays
Nothing happens without reason
As they continue
Holding you in their silver sway

How long is too long?
Where are all those yesterdays?
How long is too long?
Tell me

Underneath the rainbow arch
Hiding in the stones
Gold the fortune wanted by the Sun
Feathers brush your pale skin
Calming you completely
Rest your spirit, all's been said and done

Diamonds slipping through your fingers
Will they reappear?
Are they lost forever in the past?
Though those memories linger
Where do you go from here?
When what was yours no longer lasts

How long is too long?
Where are all those yesterdays?
How long is too long?
Tell me

    Great piece.

    Where have they gone?
    All those yesterdays
    Where have they gone?
    Tell me

I sometimes wonder how many of us still live for those yesterdays. When things were simple without big worries or concerns.
    Excellent job!

    I loved your opening!

So much to think about within your words and between the lines as well.
    Excellent read
