Spoken from Down Under

by Jenn   Sep 12, 2008

I'm the girl that lives next door,
Always hearing "You won't amount to anything."
I walk around trying to hide the pain behind my eyes
Letting people pass me by, hoping someone will realize

That everyone sees me but nobody knows me.
At night a dream of a better life
I may just be one little girl,
But someday I'll conquer the world.

I'm not one to try and fit in,
I'm taking the road less traveled by.
I'm making my move, the table will turn
The bridges of the past are going to burn.

I'm the girl in that movie,
The paparazzi is going to prove...
I'm the girl in that sold out song
Too late to make amends- I'm gone.

So everyone thinks they know me,
I'm living the better life now.
I'm a big time girl,
Taking on the entire world.
