What Happens To Forever After the Break-up?

I suppose its not fair
To ask you to keep
All your silly little promises
You whispered to me

I suppose forever
Really is what you say
Coming back from parks
On to hot of days

I suppose love
Is just something you claim
When people speak of death
Very late in the day

I suppose my childhood
Can't be blamed
For all the mistakes
I'm making today

Well I'd love to thank mom
For how I am today
Because trust issues
Never do go away

Well this isn't mom
And promises still stand
But how can I live
With my heart split
Between my life and my man

Death still breaths my name
And like a selfish lover
He always wants his way

So the man that I love
I'll push to the side
And me and death
Will lay side by side

Well I suppose
I'll keep my promise
So forever still stands
And speaking of love
Forevers still the plan

    Now this is pure perfection! The emotion throughout the entire piece is what really stood out to me. A lot of writers fail to just write exactly what/how they feel, and you did an amazing job with that. I believe that this would be a great choice for your school mag. Loved everything about it.     This poem had a lot of emotion coming from it. Yes. love does hurt. but what would life be with out heartbreak? i think its a win win situation. if your with your love your happy. if youve split up youve gained wisdom. i like how you said

    Wow, this truly was a work of art. I'd rather not critique this one because its beautiful. The emotion put into this is just so amazing.. there are no words. It's so sad in its own way because we've all been there, and we all know what it feels like.. the disappointment, and all of the other emotions that are flowing through us. This piece showed it all. Simply amazing, gorgeously written

    I wont take back my promises, I will always love you and I dont want this to be the "end" unless it fades unto that. I love you still, always will as I said I would.. the arguement was a dumb sense of self pride of my part that shouldnt ever have come out to you.

    Anyway.. till forever finally meets its end maybe one day it will return and we can learn to forgive each other.

    I love you Zoe, dont let me fool you otherwise
