Grandad

You were there at my birth
The day I was brought into this earth.

Sundays were the highlighted day
We went to church to kneel and pray.

My birthday celebration was always a treat
We went shopping then out to eat.

These are happy memories I like to remember
Will be the first Christmas without you in December.

Our memories are joyful but life went by to fast
In July you fell asleep and silently passed.

I cried out your name continuous that night

To be continued
