Beneath the smile set in atone lies the bitter truth

disturbed by acts of love that didn't make it through

disguised in the hearty laugh lies a pain so great

hiding beneath the surface not wanting to escape

lost in the unknown are the answers that are seek-ed

huddled in the darkness that makes us all so weak

trapped in the inevitable rise of a brand new day
