The OverFlow (Part 1)

by Lynn Anderson   Sep 17, 2008

I want to take the time to let you know.
All I the things I feel deep from inside.
This is the story of my overflow.

The start of an explanation.
Of things I'll never understand.
Lost within the situation.
I don't want to sink in the quicksand.
Or to repeat the loss of you.
A long, blue repation of the past.
Trying so hard to have you choose.
The things you know will last.
You like to change your mind.
About me, more than other things.
Trust me, I respect your trying.
To be the best that you can be.
I just want to help you.
Stand with you side by side.
Make more than all your dreams come true.
Have our two lives combined.
You say you feel the same way.
I can feel the moments in my heart you don't feel it.
In the aftermath I don't know what else to say.
I hope you know whose heart your messing with.

The overflow of my heart.
With so many emotions.
I don't even know where to start.
It's like trying to sail the waves of an ocean.

I loved reading your poem. My favorite two lines were; "Have our two lives combined. You say you feel the same way."
