Her Life

She ran away from home
Because she had no other choice
She's afraid to see her father
She's afraid to hear his voice

Every night she got beat down
Beaten bad and until helpless
And then her dad would rape her
And didn't care that he was heartless

So she moved in with her lover
Who was caught with cash and drugs
He was trying to support them
But instead was called a thug

He pleaded with the cops
For them to let him go
He tried to offer money
Yet they almost had said no

He needed to keep dealing
For her and him to have a life
She was pregnant with his baby
And soon to be his wife

Two days after he proposed
Two bullets went through his heart
All she could do was cry
Couldn't believe they were apart

They were about to get married
And give birth to a baby boy
Her life is nothing now
When she thought it would bring joy

Now here is her sad story
She has just lost her lover
Is afraid of her father
And about to be a mother

She can't support the baby
Unless she goes back home
But her father might just kill her
So she'd rather stay alone

She decides to take a walk
And she unfortunately sees
Her father run toward her
She remembers falling to her knees

She awakes in a bed
With white walls all around
She tries calling for a nurse
But realises what they had found

A nurse comes running in
And she immediately tears
She couldn't have lost the baby
Right now this was her only fear

She gets out as quick as she can
Her thoughts run wildly through her mind
Confused scared alone and sad
Why her if she was so kind

There was nothing left
She lost her last hope to smile
So as she looked down off the building
She thought back for awhile

With her ring on her finger
Her lifeless baby inside her
She looked up at the sky
As she thought God denied her

And she looked down again
Finally letting go of her fears
She gave it lots of thought
But still went down with her tears
