In the Name of Rejection

by Blueleo   Sep 23, 2008

We all stand tall until we fall
We rise up after every stump
We reach high for the far sky
Then we cry when chances die

Every evil born was once torn
Every loud shout came in doubt
Every sad tear come out of fear
Yet we can smile facing a trial

New day comes after war drums
Sun does rise after the moon dies
Roses grow strong in spring song
Our old tale in memory will stale

Then we see our kids come to be
History repeats to the same beats
We stand afar to watch a new star
The story again told, events unfold

A smile sneaks as wisdom peaks
A tear goes down to a white gown
The torch will pass to a new class
A hero is born for others to warn

Wow, I loved this! I didnt think I would because usally I like dark or depressing poems haha This is sort of uplifting...... My favourite line is \
"Sun does rise after the moon dies"
It reminds me of a Billy Talent song, with the lyrics being something like "Like a pawn can check mate a king" something something....
    Cute poem!!!

P.s. You're a heaps talented writer... You can create a good flow, and also you stick closely to the basic writing rules like trying to have the same amount of syllables in each line... Something I find very hard to do haha but thats only because I never edit my poems, just left whatever come out :)
