How Can You Say I'm Ok?

How can you possibly say I'm okay
If you've never asked how I feel?
I hide my pain well though
By just running from what is real.

I can't go a day
Without crying myself to sleep
I don't know how it can be this hard
Or why it goes so damn deep.

I do my best to laugh
I always try to have a smile
This method won't work forever
But hoping for a little while.

I've been so sad for some time
Been hurt so much inside
I've cried myself to sleep every night
Since the day my soul died.
