Sunshine Through My Darkness

You stole my heart and mind from first words,
Instead of seeing bats, I'm seeing birds.
Instead of the darkness I've known so long,
The light has come, the darkness is gone.

You're the sunshine through my darkness, you're my light,
You brought the day into my constant night.
You are my stars in my dark night sky,
You turn off my tear valves when I start to cry.

I love you for you, and what you've made me become,
It shows you and I have the perfect sum.
Though storms have come to tear us apart,
I long for forgiveness to be had in your heart...

    This was my favorite stanza within the poem it holds a lot of meaning to me for some reason it comes across as very strong. As does the rest of your poem but for some reason this one really stood out to me. I love how you've basically shown how love can change who you are in a very positive way :) this has happened to me too so I can seriously relate to this poem :)
