History Repeats

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Jul 24, 2008

She was a lonely girl at the age of fourteen,
She had nothing left but her never-dying dream.
She wanted love more then anyone could say,
Then a boy came and swept her heart away.

They were young lovers no one could tear apart,
He came and took her pain and stole her heart.
They were together from morning until night,
Never yelling at each other, never having a fight.

At sixteen things were still going strong,
They spent years together, nothing went wrong.
Then the girl found out she was gonna have a baby,
Instantly all their talks of future turned into maybes.

As the months went by, the boy became so distant,
Their daily walks upon the beach became inconsistent.
As her belly got larger, their love became smaller,
She longed for attention but he wouldn't call her.

Finally, the baby came, he was no where to be found,
The man she so adored refused to be around.
The years went by without a single word or check,
And then that faithful night she got into a wreck.

Her child was crying in the backseat that night,
She was trying to comfort her, and didn't see the red light.
A semi truck crashed into the side,
On that faithful night...the poor girl died.

Now the child was all alone at the age of five,
She longed to be with mom, but she was still alive.
She had no one to turn to; she lived upon the street,
She lived that way nine years, 'til history repeat...
